1. Become aregistered adultwith the BSA. If you are already a registered merit badge counselor, skip to step 4 (a new application is not required but a YPT certificate and signed background check authorization is required).

2. Read through theGuide for Merit Badge Counselorsto learn about the expectations of a counselor. You can also take the short merit badge counselor training class online at my.scouting.org

All merit badge pamphlets are availableonlineor at theCentral Florida scout shop.

Transferring to Troop 373

If you are transferring to Troop 373 or moving to another troop, it is important to document all awards, merit badges earned, and training accomplished so your new troop is updated on your progress to Eagle. If you are currently registered in the BSA (youth or adult) and you are transferring within your council, a parent or leader from your previous troop can initiate a transfer through my.scouting.org. See instructions linked above.

If you are transferring from outside Central Florida Council, you will need to complete a new Youth or Adult registration form. *** IMPORTANT*** Please make sure you put your current BSA ID on the registration form!
